A Weekend Green Roof course will be happening in Glasgow, Scotland on between 31st October and 2nd November 2014. Green Roof Training’s Dusty Gedge, current President of the European Federation of Green Roof and Wall Associations will be the guest tutor.
Guest Tutor – Green Roof Course
Over three days participants will learn the theory and practice of building a small green roof. The course will cover preparation, waterproofing, edge detailing, drainage, substrate, planting and maintenance. Dusty Gedge will be Saturday guest’s tutor. Dusty is a recognised authority, designer and spokesperson on small green roofs. Over ten years ago he founded livingroofs.org the leading UK green roof portal. He will lead a full day of theory and building. Participants will leave will a full understanding of how to design & build their own small green roof. He will also highlight the benefits of green roofs and promote a biodiversity approach rather than an off the shelf approach. Green roofs for sustainability means green roofs for wildlife and nature.
