The French Guide is now live. We have finally managed to get our small scale green roof guide translated into French. Currently the French website is up and running. The public pages are all viewable. From the 24th October the membership side will be sold. Dusty will be talking at the Le Salon EcoHome à Paris.
We are using this to launch the guide.
The French Guide – Thanks
This has been a longtime in the making. The original pdf guide was translated into French but we never got around to publishing it. Now that the guide is online it is easier for us to have it translated into other. We are hoping that it helps people in France, Switzerland, Canada and anywhere else in the world where French is the lingua franca build more green roofs.
We would like to thank our French colleagues – @Pescalune @urbanbiodiverse, Brigitte from INIT ENVIRONMENT and Philippe Peiger on Nature En Toit for all their help getting the new French guide ready to go.
We are also hoping to have some info for French Canadians on planting options up on the site by the end of October.
@Pescalune was the main translator. She bought the guide over 5 years ago and built her own green roof down in the south of France. It is doing well.
Register for the French Guide
Between now and the end of October we are encouraging people to register an interest:
- First 10 who register will get the French guide for €5
- Next 10 who register will get the French guide for €10
- Next 10 who register will get the French guide for €15
- Next 10 who register will get the French guide for €20
The usual price for the French guide will be €25 and is a one off payment for ever.
The Future
Over the next few weeks there will be a few blogs on various French green roofs that we know about and a few on English roofs that are relevant to France.
We are also hoping that the guide will soon be in several other languages.
